Women's crowns squad in WC 2024: Age and previous experience in WC

A young Women's Crown will take Utica and the hockey world by storm. Below we list the age of the Women's Crowns and how many World Cups and Olympics they have played before this year's World Cup tournament.

When you summarize a list of the Women's World Cup squad and its experience, you are struck by how young the national team is. Maja Nylén Persson, born in 2000, makes her fifth WC with the three crowns on her chest. The same applies to the “ageing” Anna Kjellbin of the Women's Crowns, who is also making her fifth championship as a 30-year-old. The duo, together with Sara Hjalmarsson and Hanna Olsson, have been in the national team the longest. The latter made his World Cup debut in 2015 and is the player who has won the most World Cups in this squad, despite his young age of only recently turning 25.

There are a total of four WC debutants in the squad. The back duo Emma Forsgren and Ida Karlsson get to make their debut together with the forward duo from MoDo: Wilma Sundin and Mira Hallin. The youngest players in the squad, together with the aforementioned Hallin, are Ebba Hedqvist and Hilda Svensson, who are both making their second WC as 17-year-olds.
